TITLE:
DESCRIPTION: Patrick Hamilton (1904 1962). Patrick was born in Hassocks and the family moved to Hove when he was four. They left a few years later. His plays include ÔRopeÕ and ÔGaslightÕ, both made into successful films. Amongst his novels is ÔThe West PierÕ, described by Graham Greene as the best book ever written about Brighton. The plaque was paid for by Penguin Books.
