TITLE:
DESCRIPTION: The imposing building next door has an interesting history. It was built in 1856 as the offices of the Brunswick Town Commissioners and in 1873 became HoveÕs first Town Hall. It fulfilled this role until 1882 when the second Town Hall, designed by Alfred Waterhouse, opened in Church Road. In 1975 Hove Corporation put up a plaque, which has now disappeared, commemorating its use
