On the left hand side of St. Bartholomews is Brighton Town Hall and on the north-west
corner of the building is a Regency Society ceramic roundel which replaces a stone tablet unveiled in 1955.
It marks the site of ST. BARTHOLOMEWÕS CHANTRY, which was the local branch of the Cluniac Priory of St. Pancras in Lewes. It was burned down by the French in 1514.
