Amon Wilds's Grave Memorial

In St. Nicholas's Churchyard, Brighton: designed by Amon Wilds's son, Amon Henry Wilds, to commemorate his father's death in 1833.

Renovated by The Regency Society in the 1950's.Amon Wilds, born in 1762,first established his building firm in Lewes but around 1815 moved to Brighton.

Commissioned by Thomas Read Kemp to build a house in Montpelier Road (The Temple), now Brighton & Hove High School for Girls.In partnership with Charles Busby Wilds went on to build the Estates of Kemp Town and Brunswick Town.

Their work also includes much of Marine Parade, Marine Square, Portland Place,Regency Square and 87 London Road (which shows how fine a single modest house may be).
